SEOUL ATLAS: OPENINGS
Seoul Atlas: Openings is the documentation of 13 designers’ unique experience in a range of methods. Consequently, this publication investigates the relationship between identity culture, perspective, and emotion that manifests through cross-cultural experience. Openings reflects the eagerness to experience the culture of South Korea, as well as this being the first publication of the Seoul Atlas.
My contribution to the Seoul Atlas provides an informal personal analysis on the interpersonal connections of native Seoul civilians to both each other and the city in which they reside. Personal observation and experience were the primary methods of research to form various estimations. In summation, Seoul has a mishmash of visual identity which may be the cause for Korean citizens to be drawn toward social trends as a way to fit in together as a society. The city breathes friendship and a lot of cigs.
